Right-winger David Gosselin hoped to make a strong impression at the Nashville Predators training camp in 2001 after recovering from a serious injury. An offensively gifted player, he put up impressive numbers in junior and the minors and hoped to follow through with the same success as a big leaguer.
Born in Levis, Quebec, Gosselin was a star in the QAAA with the Richelieu Riverains before joining the Sherbrooke Faucons of the QMJHL in 1994-95. After a solid rookie season, he was taken 78th overall by the New Jersey Devils in the Entry Draft. He returned to junior where he enjoyed a productive career though he never ended up getting a chance to prove himself in Jersey.
After scoring 46 goals for the Chicoutimi Sagueneens in 1997-98, Gosselin signed as a free agent with the Nashville Predators. He spent most of the next years as a gritty goal scorer with the IHL's Milwaukee Admirals. He began the next season with the club before he was felled by a serious knee injury that caused him to miss several months of action. Gosselin recovered and hoped to resume his quest to be an NHL regular in 2001-02.

Mike Tyson calls Boxing "the hurt business".Hockey fighting is also "the hurt business". But more so, Hockeyplayers don't cover their knuckles with padding!!
You're asking the wrong person about Goose. I think he was here in Milwaukee too long. Hard hitter? Not really. Fighter? No way! He had a good shot and great potential, but, since the knee injury a couple of years ago, he's struggled. He's had an attitude problem. He was in Milwaukee for 4 years, we got to know him pretty well, on and off the ice. I'm sorry, I think he's a spoiled brat. His first couple of years here were good; he was a fast skater, he had a good shot, kind of from the hip, and he could nail the back of the net with it. When he injured his knee and was out for the rest of the season, he lost the spark. It's too bad, because he could have been good. We thought that the move to Utah might help, but it didn't seem to do that. Sorry, I don't think he's everything some people might say that he is. Nickster Gooni
Jody Shelley and Jordin Tootoo will be dominating the goons world soon
