David was born in Levis, Quebec Canada on June 22, 1977. David began his hockey career at the age of 17. He began playing in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League(QMJHL) with the Sherbrooke Faucons. In 1995 he was drafted by the New Jersey Devils. He was New Jersey's 4th pick, 78th overall. He was with the Faucons until halfway through the 1996-1997 season until he was traded to the Chicoutimi Sagueneens of the same league. When the 1997-1998 season rolled around David still had not been signed by New Jersey. He had an amazing 1997-1998 season with Chicoutimi. And when the end of the season rolled around he was a free agent. He was signed by the new NHL expansion team, the Nashville Predators in the summer of 1998. David was sent to Nashville's top affiliate, the Milwaukee Admirals of the International Hockey League(IHL) for his first professinal season. David put up good point totals for the Admirals and only missed a few games to injury. The Predators signed him for another year. David started training camp with the Predators for the 99-2000 season but was sent back to Milwaukee before the season started. He did even better that the 98-99 season. He was the teams leading scorer for much of the season. Towards the end of the 99-2000 season Nashville was hit by the injury bug and began calling players up from Milwaukee. David was one of the first to get a call. It was speculated that Nashville wasn't impressed with David and getting called up was his last chance to prove himself. He played 7 games in his first stint in the NHL. He scored his first NHL goal and notched an assist. He was sent back to the Admirals for a few games before being called back up again to finish out the Predators season. He scored another goal during that time. He returned to the Admirals for playoffs. I'd say that he proved himself to Nashville pretty nicely. As the season came to a close a Nashville newspaper reported Predators player salaries and contract status. David was listed as having signed a 3 year contract with the Predators. This was confirmed by David himself when I asked him about it. It is still up in the air if David will start the 2000-2001 season with the Predators or the Admirals. Either way his future with the Predators organization is secure. And he is sure to become an elite NHL hockey player.
Age: 23 Height: 6 feet Weight: 175lbs Shoots: Right Nickname: Goose Position: Forward *Note: It's not clear what position David actually plays. In the 98-99 season the Admirals have him down as a left wing, in the 99-2000 season they have him down as a right wing as well as the Predators. His junior teams and the Internet Hockey Database have him down as a center. So we'll just call him a forward. Hometown: Levis, Quebec *Note: It's also not clear of what city David is from. The Admirals and the Predators have him down as being from Levis. The Professinal Hockey Players Asscociation have him down as being from St. Jean, Quebec. And the Internet Hockey Database has him down as being from Bienville, Quebec. Will the madness ever stop!!! I'm taking the Admirals and the Predators word. Favorite movie: Braveheart Favorite food: Barbecued anything Hobbies/liesure activities: Golf, Tennis, watching movies and camping Hockey idol: John LeClair of the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers What do the Predators have to say about David?: From http://www.nashvillepredators.com- Gosselin is an opportunist who works extremely hard and has extraordinary speed. He has a knack for finding openings in the seam. He has the ability to score goals and make plays in traffic.

Das hört sich doch super an, finde ich Gooni
Jody Shelley and Jordin Tootoo will be dominating the goons world soon
Ach übrigens...Nethery sagte mir auf meine Frage nach einem Satz über Gosselin nur: HE IS HARD... Hat ihn aber nicht live gesehen, kam wirklich nur auf Bassens Empfehlung Gooni

Klangvolle Namen habt Ihr doch jedes Jahr verpflichtet, dat is doch nix neues !

(Giordano Bruno, ital. Philosoph, 1548-1600)
