May 08, 2003 - EA deserves to be in the NHL Hall of Fame. After all, EA's taught American's more about hockey in its 12-year existence than any sportscaster or exuberant fan. Once again the top dog in hockey sales last year, EA hope to put even more butts in the virtual rink this year with plenty of improvements.
Shipping for Xbox, PS2, GameCube, and PC this fall, NHL 2004 is being developed by former Sega love-child Black Box and will offer a number of enhancements and additions. Just check out all the goodies EA has in store for gamers this year:
Improved right analog stick control: Now you can use the right analog stick for hitting as well as performing impressive dekes. The deke system itself has also been upraged to be more responsive and more intuitive.
Dynasty Mode: Play as the GM of your team and control your destiny from the front office as well as on the ice. Gain experience points to buy upgrades for your facilities, hire new staff, and even deck out your office. Upgrades improve you chances of signing new players and will even improve player attributes.
Fight! Fight!: Forget about that simple system from the past years, EA and Black Box promise the best hockey fight engine around. The new system allows players to grapple and will require the use of strategy over mindless single-button mashing. Heck even goalies can throw down the gauntlet and get it on.
New hitting animations: New body checks and collisions have been motion-captured from numerous angles to provide a more realistic experience.
Smarter A.I.: The A.I. now responds to different situations on the ice intelligently and will even attempt to predict player actions.
More atmosphere: Black Box promises realistic player models, better rendering, new animations, real-life stadiums, and snazzy presentation to provide the true feel of NHL hockey.
International House of Hockey: Not only will you be able to play as any of the 30 current NHL teams, but NHL 2004 also includes NHL All-Star teams, 20 National teams and an international elite league featuring 39 teams from countries including Sweden, Germany, and Finland, complete with unique unis, logos, and rules.
EA Sports Bio: NHL 2004 will fully utilize the new EA Bio system, which rewards users for playing EA sports games.
New audio: Play-by-play man Jim Hughson partners with color man Craig Simpson for, what is promised to be, more authentic commentary.
Get online: PC and PS2 gamers will be able to hop online, chat, and challenge other gamers to a hockey bout.

Weiß ja net wie das bei 2003 war, hoffe aber das man auch mal wieder Torhüter attackieren kann und nicht nur immer gegen sie fährt und nix passiert. Das ist nämlich langweilig

Hoffentlich kann man auch mal mehr als 3 Fights in einem Spiel haben, weil die hab ich immer nach 3 minuten schon gehabt und dann wollen die nicht mehr __________________________________________________ MfG Matthias

Das hört sich so an,als wären gar net alle DEL Teams dabei,sondern nur einige Ausgesuchte.. Gooni
