Entweder hat die Ansprache der Liga Wirkung gezeigt, oder die Habs haben sich gedacht, eine Niederlage wäre für die B's die schlimmste Strafe.
Wie dem auch immer sei, ihren Buschliga-Goon haben die Habs nicht eingesetzt, war wohl nur eine Drohgebärde.
Dann werden die Rechnungen halt im ersten Spiel der nächsten Saison beglichen, denn jede Rechnung wird irgentwann beglichen.

For the second straight year, the Los Angeles Kings and Colorado Avalanche are headed back to Denver for a Game 7.
Los Angeles goalie Felix Potvin, outshining Colorado's Patrick Roy, made 23 saves Saturday as the Kings beat the defending Stanley Cup champion Avalanche 3-1 to even the first-round playoff series at three games apiece.
And for the second season in a row, Game 7 between the two teams will be played in Denver, this time on Monday night.
Jason Allison scored just 1:21 into the game, and Brad Chartrand gave Los Angeles a 2-0 lead at the 6:44 mark with the first playoff goal of his career. Bryan Smolinski built the Kings' advantage to 3-0 at 6:19 of the second, then Riku Hahl got Colorado's lone goal against Potvin at 9:37 of the period.
The win mirrored the Kings' playoff comeback of last year, when they also fell behind Colorado 3-1 in their second-round series before winning two straight -- both on Potvin's shutouts. The Avalanche then won the deciding game 5-1.
Los Angeles coach Andy Murray said his team probably couldn't take much from last year's Game 7 "because we lost it."
"So we're looking at this as a new opportunity, a new challenge, and obviously we're in a situation where most people in the hockey world didn't think we would be," Murray said.
Colorado coach Bob Hartley and Murray were jawing at each other near the end of the game, and Hartley grew testy when he was asked about Murray.
"You can listen to the radio, watch TV, read the papers and it's `Andy, Andy, Andy,' all the time. He's the guy that gets the most coverage in the first round," Hartley said. "Even his players are fully aware of this. I have no energy to even waste on it.
My parents always taught me not to waste time on 4-foot-6 guys."
Murray is about 5-foot-9.
Asked if he was sending a message, Hartley said, "(Peter) Forsberg's not playing and he's not playing for a reason."
Forsberg, Colorado's offensive sparkplug, was a late scratch Saturday because of a leg injury sustained in Thursday's loss. He absorbed several hard blows from the Kings in that game without any penalties called. The Avalanche center then was penalized twice in that game.
Hartley said he didn't know if Forsberg will play in Game 7, saying his status would be determined by the medical staff. Asked specifically what the injury was, Hartley said, "It's a leg injury. We won't go into further details."
Potvin shut out the Avalanche 1-0 in Game 5 after Roy had blanked the Kings by the same score to put Colorado up 3-1 in the series.
"We have to remember what has made us successful the last two games, and that is the attitude that we have to have in Game 7," Potvin said.
Despite letting the Kings win the last two to climb back into the series, the Avalanche players seem confident.
"We have a Game 7 and we get to go home," said Colorado defenseman Rob Blake, formerly with the Kings. "We've got to find a way to win. We've been there before, been in this position before, and we've won."
The Kings, who gave up nine goals in the first two games of the series, have played solid defense in front of Potvin for the past four games. They killed six Colorado power plays in Game 6 and haven't allowed a goal in 17 power plays going back to the first period of Game 2.
"We had the chances, we had six power plays, but we didn't take advantage of them," Colorado left wing Mike Keane said.
Blake set up Colorado's lone goal, catching the Kings off guard as he skated off for a line change. Blake passed to Hahl, whose 45-foot slap shot bounced off the crossbar and caromed into the net.
Smolinski, getting his second goal of the series, wristed a shot from close range on the left side up and over Roy's shoulder on the stick side. Chartrand's goal came on a give-and-go with teammate Mikko Eloranta, with Roy screened on the shot.
Roy, who has more playoff experience than any other goalie in NHL history, looked amateurish on the Kings' first score.
Ziggy Palffy shot from 45 feet away, and Roy tried to glove the puck but fumbled it off his pads. The puck dropped to the ice and Roy came out of the crease to try to poke it away. Instead, he slid the puck right into the onrushing Allison.
Forsberg helped Colorado win the first two games of the series, with two assists in a 4-3 opening victory, and a goal and two assists in the Avalanche's 5-3 win. He has just one assist since then.
Los Angeles was missing two key players, with right wing Adam Deadmarsh sidelined by a neck sprain and defenseman Philippe Boucher out after he was hit near the eye by the puck in Game 5.

Forsberg sits out with leg injury

LOS ANGELES -- Colorado Avalanche center Peter Forsberg, who has history of foot and ankle injuries, was a late scratch for Saturday's Game 6 against the Los Angeles Kings.
Forsberg could not play because of a leg injury, Avalanche spokesman Jean Martineau said. No other details were available.
The Avalanche held a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series.
After missing the entire regular season because of a leave of absence and foot injuries, Forsberg helped Colorado win the first two games of the series, with two assists in a 4-3 opening victory, and a goal and two assists in the Avalanche's 5-3 win.
He has been held to one assist, however, since then.
The Kings narrowed the deficit to one game with a 1-0 overtime victory in Colorado on Thursday.

Zednik released from hospital; no McLaren decision

BOSTON -- NHL discipline dean Colin Campbell met with Kyle McLaren on Saturday but didn't give any indication of how long the Boston defenseman will be suspended for the hit that injured Montreal forward Richard Zednik.
Zednik was released from the hospital Saturday morning, while his teammates prepared for Game 5 of the best-of-seven playoff series against Boston. Before the game, Campbell conducted an hour-long hearing with McLaren, his agent, Bruins general manager Mike O'Connell and a union representative at the FleetCenter.
NHL spokesman Frank Brown said no decision was expected Saturday. In the hallway after the game, McLaren refused comment.
McLaren was given a match penalty and suspended indefinitely after hitting Zednik with 1:18 left in the Bruins' 5-2 victory on Thursday that evened the series at two games apiece. After the game, Canadiens coach Michel Therrien accused McLaren of a cheap shot and vowed revenge, but he backed off those threats and both teams played a clean game.
"There's a lot of ways you can get revenge," Therrien said. "I think the biggest revenge you can get is a victory. That's what we were focusing on today, and that's what we're focusing on for the rest of the series."
Montreal won 2-1 on Saturday to take a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series, opening a 2-0 lead and guarding it the last 44 minutes. The game included only five penalties, and one power play.
"They came out and did the opposite. They came out disciplined and didn't take any penalties," Bruins forward Brian Rolston said. "If you want to win in the playoffs, you've got to be disciplined."
McLaren insisted he was not trying to hurt Zednik, who had a broken nose, concussion, bruised throat and cuts on his face. Zednik had two goals in Game 5 to move into a tie for the NHL playoff lead with four goals and eight points.
"The player is not a dirty player," O'Connell said Saturday. "He's a hard hitter. He's never had a history of this. He's a clean player. If you watch the incident, it was a collision, but it isn't a dirty, cheap shot."
On Friday, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman told both teams to cool their tempers.
"It's not left to the individual clubs to seek justice," he said. "That's our job, and the clubs know that."
Both teams called up enforcer reinforcements, but neither Boston's Dennis Bonvie nor Montreal's Matt O'dette was activated.
Before Game 5, Bruins forward Bill Guerin appeared on the video screen asking fans to show respect for both national anthems. A few Montreal fans booed "The Star-Spangled Banner" before Games 3 and 4, but no disrespect was shown Saturday.
Boston led 5-2 Thursday when the 6-foot Zednik sped up the right side into Boston's zone. His head was down when the 6-4 McLaren skated toward him and made contact with the upper part of his left arm, dropping Zednik to the ice. Zednik was down on the ice, unconscious, for five minutes.
The second concussion of his career will sideline him for at least the rest of the series, Canadiens doctor David Mulder said. Zednik's agent told the Journal de Montreal that the Canadiens forward wants to rejoin his team if it reaches the second round.

Die Canucks sind damit aus den Play Offs ausgeschieden. + + + Los Angeles - Colorado 3:1 (20:24) / In der Serie zwischen Avalanche und den Kings wiederholen sich die Ereignisse. Wie im Jahr zuvor gingen die Avs mit 2:0 und 3:1 in der Serie in Führung. Wie im Jahr zuvor konnten die Kings die Serie ausgleichen und ein siebtes und entscheidendes Spiel erzwingen. Der Titelverteidiger könnte nun vorzeitig ausscheiden. Die Kings spielten sehr stark auf eigenem Eis und begannen mit enorm viel Druck. Die Avs hatten große Probleme in den ersten 15 Minuten. Bereits in der zweiten Minute traf Allison zum 1:0. Dabei machte Roy eine etwas unglückliche Figur, als er den Puck nicht festhalten konnte und ihn dann mit dem Stock wegspitzelte. Dabei prallte der Puck an das Bein von Allison und von dort ins Tor. Nur wenige Minuten später traf Chartrand zum 2:0. Im zweiten Abschnitt gingen die Avs dann wesentlich wacher und aggressiver ins Spiel. Und so konnte Hahl dann auch das 3:1 erzielen. Der Druck der Gäste wurde mit zunehmender Spielzeit immer größer. Felix Potvin war aber nicht zu schlagen und so blieben auch einige Powerplays erfolglos. Auch im Jahr zuvor kamen die Kings nach einem 1:3 Rückstand dank der überragenden leistung von Potvin in die Serie zurück, mußten dann aber im letzten Spiel mit 1:5 in Denver ausscheiden. Red Wings und Hurricanes im Conference-Halbfinale
Noch mal Schwein gehabt", werden Spieler, Funktionäre und Fans der Detroit Red Wings denken. Denn nach den beiden Auftaktpleiten vor heimischer Kulisse gegen die Canucks aus Vancouver drohte dem besten Vorrunden-Team der nordamerikanischen Eishockey-Liga NHL das frühe Aus in Play-off-Runde eins. Der Favorit wankte, fiel aber nicht. Nach drei Siegen in Serie feierten die "Roten" am vergangenen Abend den entscheidenden vierten Erfolg. Mit 6:4 siegten die Puckjäger aus Detroit zum dritten Mal in Vancouver und zogen somit in die Runde der letzen Vier in der Western Conference ein.
Zwei Akteure drückten Spiel sechs ihren Stempel auf. Zum einen Chris Chelios. Der Abwehrrecke bereitete drei Treffer vor. Zum anderen Brett Hull. Der Routinier markierte seinen ersten Play-off-Hattrick und war damit maßgeblich für den Erfolg verantwortlich. Die weiteren Treffer des Star-Ensembles aus der Autostadt erzielten Tomas Holmstrom, Igor Larionov, und Nicklas Lidström, der in Spiel drei mit seinem Treffer aus der Neutralenzone zum 1:1 in den letzten Sekunden des Mitteldrittels den Topfavoriten wieder ins Spiel gebracht und für die Wende gesorgt hatte. Für Vancouver waren Ed Jovanovski, Matt Cooke und zweimal Henrik Sedin erfolgreich. Uwe Krupp kam erneut nicht für Detroit zum Einsatz.
Hurricanes reichte ein Treffer
Dank eines überragenden Kevin Weekes stehen die Carolina Hurricanes im Halbfinale der Eastern Conference. Alle 32 Schüsse der Devils aus New Jersey werte der Goalie ab und war damit maßgeblich am 1:0-Erfolg der Hurricanes in New Jersey beteiligt. Das Tor des Tages für Carolina markierte Ron Francis bereits nach zehn Minuten des Auftaktdrittels. Damit steht Carolina erstmals seit 16 Jahren in der zweiten Play-off-Runde. "Es ist lange her, dass wir eine Runde weiter gekommen sind", meinte Torschütze Francis, der der einzige Spieler ist, der auch 1986 beim letzten Play-off-Triumph mit dabei war.
Zittern muss weiterhin der Titelverteidiger aus Colorado. Mit 3:1 lag die Avalanche schon in der Serie in Führung, verlor ihr Heimspiel und nun auch Spiel sechs mit 3:1 bei den L.A. Kings. Damit muss Partie sieben in Colorado für die Entscheidung sorgen. Auch im Duell zwischen den Boston Bruins und den Montreal Canadiens ist noch alles offen. Die besseren Karten haben allerdings die Kanadier, die nach dem 2:1-Erfolg in Boston nun vor heimischer Kulisse in Spiel sechs den Sack zumachen können.
