RECAP | BOX SCORE | GAME LOG
TORONTO (AP) -- After losing two fights to Donald Brashear, Tie Domi praised Brashear for not gloating.
Brashear also scored as Philadelphia beat Toronto 3-0 on Saturday night for the Flyers' season-high eighth straight victory.
"I'm happy for the guy," said Domi, who was sporting a black eye and a cut. "He's turned his career around a little bit, and he's showing a little bit more respect after altercations. I'm happy for him. He's turned that team around."
Roman Cechmanek made 31 saves for his second shutout of the season for the Flyers, who have won 14 of their last 16 game since acquiring Brashear on Dec 17.
Philadelphia passed Toronto for the Eastern Conference lead last week.
Justin Williams also scored and Todd Fedoruk added an empty-netter for the Flyers, whose 16 road wins are the most in the NHL.
Brashear angered the Maple Leafs with his antics Oct. 19 when he made a hand-washing motion toward the Toronto bench after beating Wade Belak in a fight.
Domi appreciated that Brashear didn't give a repeat performance Saturday.
"I think he finally realized he didn't have much respect," Domi said. "He cut all that stuff out. I know first hand. I was doing all that stuff when I was 20 years old and I had Mark Messier pull me aside and it really made a difference in my career.
"That's how you get respect," Domi added. "You show respect to your peers, and they give it back. It's a good sign he didn't do any of that stuff tonight, and he could have done all that stuff he used to do. He got my respect. He scored a goal too."
The Maple Leafs are 0-2-2-1 in their last five games.
The first period included four fights, including two in a 3-second span. After Brashear sent Domi to the ice, Fedoruk and Belak fought. Toronto's Bryan McCabe later covered up in a fight against Fedoruk, and Brashear rocked Domi again at 14:13.
"Tie is tough," Brashear said. "We both tried to get some emotions going."
Brashear, acquired from Vancouver, scored his seventh goal of the season, beating goalie Curtis Joseph with a slap shot at 5:42 of the second.
"He's been a great acquisition to our hockey team," Philadelphia coach Bill Barber said. "You need all kinds of different players to be good. He adds presence."
A couple minutes before Brashear scored, Domi was alone in front, but Cechmanek made a save.
Williams' slap shot gave Philadelphia a 2-0 lead at 6:22 of the third. Fedoruk scored his empty-netter at 19:22.
