Kinners! Muß mer dann alles selber mache????
De Stoner is widder am Ratze!!!!!

Boston - New Jersey 0-3 (0-1/0-0/0-2)
(Playoffstand 1-4)
NY Islanders - Ottawa 1-4 (0-1/1-2/0-1)
(Playoffstand 1-4)
Edmonton - Dallas 2-5 (0-2/0-1/2-2)
(Playoffstand 2-3)

Boston - New Jersey 0-3 (0-1/0-0/0-2)

New Jersey bot einfach die reifere Mannschaftsleistung.

Ottawa vs. NY Islanders 4:1

Game 5: New York @ Ottawa 1:4

OTTAWA (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators finished off the New York Islanders with another dominating defensive effort.
Todd White scored the go-ahead goal with 8:55 left in the second period and Radek Bonk tallied twice as the Senators advanced to the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 4-1 victory over the Islanders.
Patrick Lalime recorded 31 saves for the Senators, who won four straight after losing the series opener. Ottawa allowed only four goals following a 3-0 loss in Game One.
"We knew what we did wrong in Game One and we didn't want it to happen again," Lalime said. "Penalty killing was a big factor in this series. We expected a good effort from them playing desperate hockey. Scoring the first goal was a key."
The Senators advanced to the conference semifinals for the second straight year and the third time in franchise history.
They have never been beyond the second round of the playoffs.
"It was good to win it at home," White said. "We'll have a week to prepare for the next team."
Daniel Alfredsson, the Senators' second-leading scorer in the regular season, was held without a goal in the series, but played a key part in the clincher.
Alfredsson stole the puck along the right boards following a dump-in and passed to Wade Redden just inside the left blue line. Garth Snow made a kick save on Redden's slap shot, but White swept in the rebound with traffic in front, giving the Senators a 2-1 lead.
"Alfie made a great play back checking with me and then made a great pass to Redden," White said. "He got a good low shot and the rebound came to me. I tried to get it upstairs and fortunately I did."
Martin Havlat, who scored Ottawa's first goal, set up Bonk's insurance tally with another spectacular individual effort.
Havlat intercepted Snow's clearing attempt along the boards, skated around defenseman Radek Martinek and passed in front to Bonk, who tipped a one-timer past Snow with 1:47 left in the second period.
Bonk capped the scoring with an empty-net goal with 2:15 remaining. The Islanders pulled Snow 15 seconds earlier for an extra skater.
"We seem to be playing with more confidence and tonight was right from the beginning," Senators right wing Marian Hossa said. "After Game One, our role players held their heads and were determined to come out stronger. We found a way to win tonight because everybody had energy and jump."
Havlat gave the Senators a 1-0 lead when his centering pass deflected in off the skate of New York's Shawn Bates for a power-play goal with 6:07 left in the first period.
"Some big hits early and scoring on the power play got us rolling and them we played a solid game from there on," Alfredsson said. "We wanted to play smart and play deep behind their defense."
Dave Scatchard drew two straight penalties in the second period and the Islanders converted the 5-on-3, drawing even when Mark Parrish banged in Alexei Yashin's rebound at 6:48. But the tie lasted just over four minutes.
New York was ousted in the first round for the second straight year. Last season, the Islanders fell to Toronto in seven games.
"I thought we were on our way when we scored on the 5-on-3," New York captain Michael Peca said. "We wanted to keep close defensively, have aggressive forechecking and control the neutral zone."
New York coach Peter Laviolette predicted a victory for his team, but the Islanders simply could not generate enough offense in the series against the defensive-minded Senators.
"The overtime loss (in Game Three) in New York kind of gave them control," Yashin said. "I feel we played some good games, but we just couldn't get any goals."
New York outshot Ottawa, 13-4, in the third period, but failed to cash in three power plays. The Islanders finished 1-for-5 with the man advantage and dropped to 22-3 when winning the opening game of a series.
"The key was in New York, when they only used three lines and four defenseman," Havlat said. "They were tired and then they played back-to-back games. It's a good break, a week without a game. It'll be nice to rest and get ready for the next round."
Snow finished with 15 saves for New York.
"When it comes to the end of the season, you try to validate your year and try to learn from the experience," Snow said.
"What we did was obviously not good enough."

New Jersey vs. Boston 4:1

Game 5: Boston @ New Jersey 0:3

EAST RUTHERFORD, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Martin Brodeur bounced back and helped bounce the Boston Bruins from the playoffs.
Two nights after he was pulled from a playoff game for the first time in eight years, Brodeur recorded his second shutout of the series as the New Jersey Devils eliminated the Bruins with a 3-0 blanking in Game Five of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
Brodeur went to the bench in the third period of Tuesday's 5-1 loss in Boston. But he stopped 28 shots in this one for his 15th career playoff shutout and sixth against the Bruins.
"It's important you're able to forget about games, good or bad.
That (fourth game) was not a good one, but it's going to happen again," Brodeur said. "It's just the nature of this game. For me, it's just another game. This one was great, now we have to forget about it."
John Madden had a goal and two assists and Jamie Langenbrunner scored twice for the Devils, who advanced to the conference semifinals a year after losing in the first round to the Carolina Hurricanes.
"We were really nervous about it. It always stays with you when you don't do well in a playoff series," Brodeur said.
"Just getting out of the first one, it's always the hardest one.
Now we're here to play hockey."
New Jersey, which played before just three sellouts during the season at the Continental Airlines Arena, was the only team in the East to win all of its home games in the opening round.
Boston was knocked out in the first round for the fifth time in its last six playoff appearances.
"I thought for the most part the game were pretty even, although you lose the series, four games to one. The margin of error was slim," Bruins coach Mike O'Connell said. "I think paying attention to some of the details hurt us."
Held to one shot in the opening 6 1/2 minutes, the Devils got the game's first power play when P.J. Axelsson was penalized for closing his hand on the puck at 6:37.
With six seconds left on the man advantage, defenseman Oleg Tverdovsky wristed a shot from just below the left point that Madden tipped past screened goaltender Jeff Hackett for his second goal of the series.
"It was tough that we had a penalty on us right away because that took away the momentum that we had," Bruins captain Joe Thornton said. "They were able to get the early power-play goal, which was very tough on us."
It was New Jersey's first power-play goal in three games and third in 20 chances in the series.
The Devils had two more chances with the extra man before the period ended and two more in the second. But they could not extend the lead.
"It's difficult when you're killing penalties because you have a lot of guys sitting and not getting into the flow of the game," Boston winger Brian Rolston said. "The other night, we were able to get some power-play opportunites and we were able to roll four lines. But tonight we had many more penalties against, and that definitely hurt us."
Boston had a great chance to tie early in the second, but Glen Murray put a rebound off the outside of the net with Brodeur down. Mike Knuble was poised for a shot on another rebound with 11:56 left in the period but was taken down by defenseman Brian Rafalski as the Bruins' bench protested.
"During the series, we had opportunities to put in rebounds that were left out in front, and those will stick in our minds all summer," said defenseman Dan McGillis, who led the Bruins with three goals in the series.
Madden twice had opportunities to pad the lead. With 6:42 to go in the second, Hackett got a skate on his one-timer from the left circle and two minutes later, Madden was hooked from behind on a partial breakaway and only got the heel of his stick on the shot.
On the Devils' fifth straight power play, Patrik Elias put a shot off the crossbar with 2:59 remaining.
Boston finally got its first power play when New Jersey defenseman Scott Stevens was penalized for hooking with 10 seconds to go in the period.
But the Devils killed the penalty and got an insurance goal with 12:19 to play. Madden shrugged off a check at the side of the net and worked the puck to Langenbrunner, who went from backhand to forehand and pushed a shot that trickled past Hackett.
Langenbrunner added an empty-netter with 52 seconds to play, his series-leading fifth goal. A year ago, he totaled one assist in the playoff loss to Carolina.
"I was just coming in, hoping to play well. I was able to get a few goals here at home," Langenbrunner said. "I'm not going to get too excited about it. I'm happy with the way things are going, but it's not the end."
Madden led all scorers in the series with two goals and six assists. His checking line with Jay Pandolfo and Turner Stevenson outscored the Bruins' No. 1 unit ofThornton, Murray and Knuble, 3-2.
"He's already got a Selke under his belt, so he's been recognized around this league. Now people are going to start to notice that he has some offensive game as well," Devils defenseman Ken Daneyko said of Madden. "Against a quality line of Joe Thornton, not only did he do the best to shut them down,

Dallas vs. Edmonton 3:2

Game 5: Edmonton @ Dallas 2:5

DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars again burned the Edmonton Oilers with their quick strike ability.
Scott Young and Sergei Zubov scored power-play goals 53 seconds apart midway through the first period as the Stars defeated the Oilers, 5-2, to take a three games to two lead in the Western Conference quarterfinals.
Zubov had a dominant game with two goals and an assist for the Stars, who can close out the series in Edmonton on Saturday.
"We're happy to be starting to hit our stride," Young said.
"We're playing more consistently day in and day out and we felt we had to win this game."
The Stars, who lost Game One, have their first lead in the series. They are one win away from their sixth victory in seven playoff series with the Oilers.
"It's nice to finally get the lead in the series," Dallas center Mike Modano said. "We've been fighting back, fighting back and now we're up."
Dallas quieted a boisterous crowd at the Skyreach Centre in Game Four on Tuesday as Stu Barnes and Niko Kapanen scored 23 seconds apart in the third period to lead the Stars to a 3-1 victory.
That win seemed to give Dallas new life and the Stars were in control throughout in Game Five. They shut down the Oilers with their typically stifling defense, allowing just eight shots through the first 40 minutes.
"We limited their shots and frustrated them tonight," Young said.
Modano scored 5:34 into the second period before Zubov tallied again 5:39 into third, making it 4-0.
"We had to play behind two times in this series, so we wanted to make sure we were prepared for this game," Dallas coach Dave Tippett said. "We wanted to play with a lead rather than from behind."
While the Stars never were in danger of letting the lead get away, Marty Turco allowed a pair of soft goals in the final 10:02. Mike Comrie spoiled the shutout bid before Eric Brewer made it 4-2 with 1:50.
Turco need to make just 15 saves as the Stars outshot the Oilers, 27-17.
"We had something to build on going into Game Six," Edmonton coach Craig MacTavish said of the late goals.
The Oilers pulled Tommy Salo after Brewer's goal, but Manny Malhotra ended any hopes of a miracle finish by scoring into an empty net from center ice with 27 seconds left. It was Malhotra's first career playoff goal.
"They're the No. 5 power play team in the league in the regular season," MacTavish said. "They have all the weapons, so we didn't want to turn it into a speciality team game. The last thing we wanted to do was take early penalties."
But the Oilers did just that as Ethan Moreau took a double minor for high sticking 5:14 into the first period when he clipped Young in the face. As the second penalty was winding down, Young took a cross-ice feed from Modano and ripped a one-timer past Salo from the top of the circle at 9:02.
"It's a matter of making them pay for it and a matter of capitalizing on opportunities," Dallas defenseman
Darryl Sydor said. "It was a four-minute power play and if we're not able to score, it's a momentum change
either way."
"It was a terrible penalty and it cost our team," Moreau added.
"I got my stick up and you have to have control of your stick.
It's unacceptable."
Just 36 seconds later, Scott Ferguson was called for hooking.
This time, it took the Stars only 17 seconds to cash in the power play as Zubov blasted a slap shot past Salo from inside the blue line.
"They're power play is very powerful and you really have to play disciplined against them," Comrie said.
Dallas center Jason Arnott left the game in the second period with an undisclosed injury and did not return.
Edmonton played without Radek Dvorak, who is sidelined indefinitely with a broken hand.

NHL-Play-offs

Dallas Stars gehen 3:2 in Führung
